‘Moussière’ is an extra-special Sancerre vineyard that enjoys Grand
Cru-like classification. Until recently, only iconic Alphonse Mellot had
access to its grapes, with a monopoly on La Moussière Sancerre.
But a real life story that reads like a Jilly Cooper novel (no room to
elaborate here!) means that 20th generation winemaking brothers,
Florent and Clément Pinard, now get their own allocation of
Moussière grapes. They’ve also worked closely with the growers
to implement regenerative viticulture techniques, raising the
quality of La Moussière Sancerre to an all-time high.
The Pinard brothers make powerful, perfectly balanced Sancerre –
qualities that are amplified in this organic cuvée. It has white flower,
lemon and lime aromas, a lightning charge of minerality and terrific
