Danie de Wet was so convinced he could make wines to rival Burgundy on his
family farm that he smuggled in illicit Burgundy cuttings and planted South
Africa’s first Chardonnay vines back in the 1980s. This cuvée is the delicious
proof he was right. Fermented and aged in French barriques, it’s all creamy
peaches, lemons, almonds and a gentle touch of oak.

Maison Maillet Bandol Provence Rosé 2025
Within Provence lies the tiny region of Bandol, whose pinks are so highly
sought after in France that you almost never see them in the UK. Most are
seriously expensive, so this is a rare treat, especially with a 30% saving.
With subtle creamy summer berries and a mineral zip, it’s rich, complex
