FESTIVAL

le
Our Wine Festival brings together great
winemakers and customers like you,
who love wine. It’s a fascinating world
that’s constantly evolving ... from the
more stuffy pontificating of 50 years
back to the vibrance of today.
Welcome from us all ...
... to RHS Lawrence Hall, the Festival’s former home for
over 30 years. It’s great to be back. You will find hundreds
of wines here today, with the winemaker or representative
to explain just how they’re made. I promise you’ll find
more in a wine when you’ve met the person behind it.
This is the festival that in 1986 launched New Zealand
Sauvignon onto the world stage when Hunter’s stole the
show (and they are here today serving you their great
wines). What future superstars will we discover in 2025?

There are Masterclasses and informal tasting sessions or
simply forge your own path and make wine discoveries
and friends along the way.
The Festival really is a wine event like no other ...
a party, a fête, a celebration. Serious and not serious.
It’s The Club doing what it does best.
Hugh Johnson OBE,
President, The Sunday
Times Wine Club
Cheers!
Share our passion for wine!
I started out on my great wine adventure in 1969
and I’m still making exciting discoveries today.
Many things have changed along the way – attitudes,
winemaking, the climate ... all sorts. The wines,
however, never cease to amaze me.
Behind every great wine are people with a passion for
what they do. You’ll meet them here today, including
my wife, Barbara, on the Wyfold stand. Talk to them,
quiz them – they love it – the Festival is one of their
favourite events in the wine calendar. Because they
meet you, the people who enjoy their wine.
