Malt Master David Stewart
combined three single malts
to create Monkey Shoulder –
the world’s first ‘triple malt’.
It’s rare to see an unpeated
Islay malt, but Bruichladdich
‘The Classic Laddie’ is one
exception. And because
there’s no smoke, you can
detect salty sea-breeze notes
among its rich, fruity flavours.
Glenfiddich may be one of
Scotland’s oldest distilleries
– but that doesn’t stop them
leading the way in innovation.
Ardbeg 10-Year-Old has won
multiple Gold medals over the
years – most recently at the
World Whisky Awards in 2024.
A classic malt from a distillery
that dates back to 1881, it’s
smooth, floral and malty with
honey and green apple notes.
Their limited-edition Orchard
Experiment is the first of
its kind. Matured in former
Somerset Pomona Spirit
(apple liqueur) casks, it’s
sweetly malty, with soft
oak and rich apple notes.
And no wonder. Despite being
one of the world’s peatiest
malts, it’s brilliantly balanced.
Rich and complex, with great
smoky intensity – Ardbeg is a
fine choice for those who like
a full-flavoured dram.

With its signature smoothness
and rich, complex flavours
it was Rated Best in Show at
the 2024 Tag Global Spirits
Awards. Smooth enough to
enjoy neat, but it’s also the
go-to for whisky cocktails.
